The publication date of this release has been changed to ensure the publication is not released the same day as the publication of Office for National Statistics (ONS) crime releases and Home Office crime statistics. As this release is also related to the justice system, though it has different coverage, publishing this release on a different date as the aforementioned minimises the risk of misreporting or misrepresenting the figures, and aids public understanding.
