Today, revisions have been made to data for January to June 2021. Notes on versions of the dataset published before this date state that revisions had been made for January to June 2021 when they had not. Data for the months within 2021 now correctly sum to annual totals published in other travel and tourism tables.

As a result of a processing error, estimates of visits by overseas residents from Europe for July to September 2022 were overestimated by 1,000. We have now corrected this data.

We are pausing our monthly releases of travel and tourism data. This is to focus on making improvements to our quarterly outputs. Monthly data will be provided on a quarterly basis.

We are carrying out detailed quality assurance of our travel and tourism data. As a result, this dataset was not updated in July 2024 as planned. We plan to update this dataset with estimates for January to June 2024 in October 2024.
