Previously, because of a data processing issue, local area data for deaths registered in December 2020 (Table 2a to 2c) were not included in this dataset.

This has now been updated and Tables 2a to 2c now include deaths registered in December

If the deaths due to COVID-19 continue to decrease, we intend to reduce this dataset in future publications due to very small numbers in many geographical areas. This decision will be kept under review and reconsidered if the numbers of deaths start to increase. We welcome any feedback on the analysis in this publication via Health.Data@ons.gov.uk.
