An error occurred in the 2014-based Table 3 due to incorrect geography aggregations. We have corrected this error. You can see all previous versions of this data on the previous versions page.

A footnote was updated on 24 May 2019 because the original footnote had simply replicated that in the main (principal) subnational projections published in May 2018, so had not been explicit that the variants were based on the same mid-2016 CCG values.

The following datasets have not been updated as part of the 2022-based subnational population projections:
Population projections for clinical commissioning groups and NHS regions: Table 3
Population projections by single year of age – clinical commissioning groups: SNPP Z2
The 2022-based subnational population projections were published on 24 June 2025 and include population projections for sub-intergrated care boards and NHS regions by five-year age groups and population projections for sub-integrated care boards by single year of age.
