In datasets for Quarter 3 (July to Sept) 2023 and earlier there are minor errors in the data presented for 2019 in Table 3: Nights spent abroad. We have corrected this in all datasets from Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024.
Please use the most up to date dataset.

We have corrected an error in Table 12: Confidence intervals for the latest main country visited estimates in our Estimates of visits and spending abroad Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) to Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2025 edition dataset.
The previous version showed incorrect lower confidence interval (CI) limits, upper CI limits, and coefficient of variation percentages (CV%) for spending in £ millions for some countries in Quarter 1 2025. These have now been corrected. This happened because of human error.

We are carrying out a detailed quality assurance review of our travel and tourism data. As a result, some recent datasets only contain quarterly estimates for 2024 onwards. The time series normally available in these tables has been removed. This is because of our ongoing quality assurance work. Once this is complete, we will provide an updated version of this dataset.
