Set ddata Estimates of overseas residents’ visits and spending

In datasets Quarter 3 (July to Sept) 2023 and earlier, estimates of visits by overseas residents from Europe for July to September 2022 were over estimated by 1,000. This has been corrected in our “Overseas travel and tourism, quarterly” dataset and will be corrected in all datasets published on this web page from Quarter 1 (Jan to Mar) 2024 onwards.

We are carrying out a detailed quality assurance review of our travel and tourism data. As a result, some recent datasets only contain quarterly estimates for 2024 onwards. The time series normally available in these tables has been removed. This is because of our ongoing quality assurance work. Once this is complete, we will provide an updated version of this dataset.
