We have corrected an error in the data for South Yorkshire in our Combined Authorities and Economic Enterprise Regions dataset. The previous version contained an error in tables A4 and A5 of the dataset only. Data for South Yorkshire in the other tables and datasets were not affected by the error. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We have corrected an error impacting some of the subregional productivity data in this publication. The error affects the chained-volume estimates (tables A5 and B5) for the International Territorial Level (ITL) 2 and 3 geographies and the Combined Authorities and Economic Enterprise Regions geography.
The error occurred within the calculation of the gross value added (GVA) data used as an input for the productivity calculations. A corresponding correction has been made to the GVA data in the ”Regional economic activity by gross domestic product, UK: 1998 to 2023” publication.
For most of the ITL areas and Combined Authority and Economic Enterprise areas, the effect of the correction on the subregional productivity data is relatively small. However, in a few specific places, the effect is larger. The error has not impacted any of the current price subregional productivity tables (A1-A4, B1-B4), or any data at the ITL1 geography.
We have now published replacement data tables and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
