We have revised the data in the tab “London” in the row “Outer London” in Table 5 for the 2023 provisional edition due to a minor error we have identified. Only the “Outer London” row is impacted, and it only affects 2023. We apologise for this error.
Notices

We have identified a quality issue resulting from geographical misreporting that affects this table for the years 2015 to 2024. The main headline employment estimates at national and regional levels remain unaffected. The employment estimates for the local authorities of Hillingdon and Hounslow are compromised and should be used with caution.
We will revise the provisional 2024 tables as part of our annual update in October 2026, in line with our Business Register and Employment Survey (BRES) revision policy. Earlier years will not be revised, as BRES provides point‑in‑time estimates and is not designed for time‑series analysis.
