Due to technical issues, there was an issue opening chapters 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. This has now been corrected. ONS apologise for any inconvenience caused.

During the ONS’s routine quality assurance, an error was identified in the data that HMRC delivered to the ONS relating to goods imports data from the January 2023 reference period onwards. Additionally, an error was identified in our International Trade in Services (ITIS) results processing system. This error affected our estimates of both imports and exports of services from 2023 onwards.
These data errors were corrected in our UK trade: January 2025 release alongside the Balance of payments, UK and GDP quarterly national accounts, UK releases on 28 March 2025.
The figures in chapters 1, 2, 3 and 9 have not been updated to account for this corrected data. We therefore advise users to exercise caution when using the UK Trade figures in these chapters from 2023, and refer to the corrected UK trade data or Balance of payments data. We will correct these data errors in line with the National Accounts Revisions Policy and this will be completed in the 2025 edition of Pink Book and Blue Book.
