We produce ethnicity information for population, employment and well-being based on the Annual Population Survey. Due to small sample sizes we do not routinely produce estimates for very detailed geographic areas from this source. As a Ward, Colindale is a smaller geographic area than we would normally estimate from such survey information.
We do operate a service where you can request a specific analysis to be produced from the survey that would not be part of our routine statistical production. Such a request may involve a charge depending on the amount of time taken to develop the analysis and undertake quality and disclosure control processes. You can request such an analysis by contacting our Social Surveys team: socialsurveys@ons.gov.uk. However, in this case I would not recommend such an analysis, since sample sizes are unlikely to give any data of useable quality.
As this information is already available to you via this route, we consider that s.21(1) applies to this request and the information does not have to be supplied under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. S.21(1) is an absolute exemption and no consideration of the public interest test needs to be applied.
The only statistics we do produce on ethnicity that can give information at such a detailed geographic level are our Census Statistics.
