This download provides age-specific drug and alcohol mortality rates per 100,000 people, by single year of age and deprivation quintile. Figures are for deaths registered in England between 2014 and 2018 calendar years.
Deprivation is a wider concept than poverty, and so the indices are constructed from a number of different types, or domains, of deprivation. IMD Quintiles range from 1 to 5, with 1 being the most deprived and 5 being the least deprived.
