Please provide the average rent paid for all social housing, broken for:

  • a single person;

  • an unmarried person with 2 children; and

  • a family (2 adults) with 2 children

If commercial rents were used for each of these please provide how much would they be.

For the above categories please provide the total cost of support if the persons are unemployed, including health and education costs, social housing etc per year.

However, the information on average rental expenditure you asked for can be calculated by the customer services team of ONS Social Surveys Operations Division. Special extracts and tabulations from the Living Costs and Food Survey (LCF) are available to order from this service, which is subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate.
