Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.
We publish mid-year population estimates, the latest of which is for mid-2017. Worksheet ‘MYE2 – All’ of the downloadable spreadsheet gives population estimates by single year of age (90 means 90+) for geographic areas down to local authority level. From this you can add up the columns to give the totals for each LA of people aged 65 and over. Earlier years are available through the same link.
