Interpretation
Adults are defined as living with obesity if their body mass index (BMI) is greater than or equal to 30kg/m².
Data is based on Active Lives Adult Survey (ALAS) from Sport England. The survey provides self-reported height and weight, which can be used to produce BMI estimates. The data collected also allows for adjustments to be applied to the self-reported height and weight measurements at an individual level to give likely actual height and weight. Please see Indicator Definitions and Supporting Information for further details.
