Corrections and notices
21 October 2020
We identified, following publication of the time series for Business investment in the UK: April to June 2020 revised results of 30 September 2020, errors in series NPQR, annual total gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) CVM NSA, affecting periods 1987 to 1996.
GDP was unaffected by this error.
25 June 2020
We have identified errors in two lower level GFCF series General Government CP NSA (NNBF) and General Government CP SA (RPZG) which have led to revisions for periods for which we have not been open to revision since September 2019.
The largest impacts are in the following periods – NNBF quarterly data in 2006 Q4 has a £7m discrepancy and RPZG annual data in 2006 has an £8m discrepancy over the year. Other periods affected are showing differences of no greater than £1m.
These errors arose during the production process and so we have now corrected these series.
No other data are affected by this issue and there are no changes to top level GFCF as a result of these errors.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
12 February 2021
We have identified errors within a number of CDIDs which has led to their being inconsistent with previously published Business Investment by Industry and Asset data. These errors arose during the production process and impact quarterly data between Quarter 1 2019 and Quarter 2 2020 data within the CXNV time series. It does not, however, impact annual data or the Business Investment by Industry and Asset spreadsheet linked to this dataset.
A list of affected CDIDs is available on request.
These series have now been corrected. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
1 October 2020
On 30 September 2020, we were not able to release the Business investment by industry and asset breakdown dataset as planned. This will affect a small number of Central Database Identifiers (CDIDs) published as part of the Business investment time series dataset. A full list of the affected series is available on request. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
