I have been trying to find UK national median average yearly salary from 2007 to 2015 on your website. The data I have looked at seems to be very fragmented in different tables and documents and I can’t reconcile a logical flow.

Would it be possible to provide this information in a single format? I would like the median national annual salary for all employees from the years 2007 to 2015 including percentage increases or decreases.

Thank you for your query.

The best source for this information is ONS's Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE), which is based on a 1% sample of jobs taken from HM Revenue and Customs' Pay As You Earn (PAYE) records and is the most comprehensive source of earnings information in the United Kingdom. National median gross annual earnings estimates from ASHE for all employees for the years 2007 to 2015 (including percentage changes) can be found in a single format at the top of Table 1 of the 'ASHE 1997 to 2015 selected estimates' spreadsheet at the following link: http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/publications/re-reference-tables.html?edition=tcm%3A77-400803

Please note that ASHE annual earnings estimates are for the tax year. So, for example, the 2015 estimates are for the year ending 5 April 2015.
