The figures you require are available on the ONS website for the time period 1993 to 2015:
Figures for 2016 are not yet available, but can be requested after the publication of the 'Deaths related to drug poisoning in England and Wales' statistical bulletin in September 2017.
If these tables do not meet your requirements special extracts and tabulations of mortality data for England and Wales are available to order (subject to legal frameworks, disclosure control, resources and agreements of costs, where appropriate). We do not hold information regarding hospital admissions. It may be worth contacting NHS Digital to see if they hold any relevant information.
